1) Easily slice a cheesecake by sliding dental floss under the crust and bringing the ends together on top.
2) To keep waffles or pancakes warm, place them on a cooling rack in a 225° F oven.
3) To prevent jagged edges that often occur when cutting cooled cookie bars: use a sharp knife to score the bars as soon as the pan comes out of the oven, then cut the cooled bars along the scored lines.
4) Use a potato peeler to make chocolate curls for dessert garnishes.
5) Place cookies or bars in a basket lined with sheet fold cloth. Use a generous length of wide ribbon to tie a bow onto the handle of the basket.
6) To keep cookies from breaking in transit, put a layer of crumpled wax paper in the bottom of a small, decorative tin or box, place cookies inside and then put another layer of crumpled wax paper on top.
